Ghadames, (pearl of desert) in south west of Libya

This city is the oldest city in desert that still remains from ancient time & tens of thousands still living there. Locals build their houses from bricks & logs, with a basement for keeping hays and all the houses are very close together. In year 1986 parts of Ghadames entered in UNICCO’s world assets list
